We’re excited to announce the release of LVGL’s Project Creator tool! This software is designed to bring together hundreds of LVGL-related projects from various sources, including RTOS projects, chip vendor SDKs, and, of course, projects maintained by us.
Why is it better than a simple git clone?
Faster setup: LVGL is already included in the application, so there’s no need to download it repeatedly.
Comprehensive search: It aggregates a vast number of projects, all searchable in one place.
User-friendly: No extra tools or knowledge (such as git) are required.
In this initial version, we’ve added support for just five projects. You can already try it out on Windows, Linux, macOS, or as a VSCode extension. This will help us gather feedback and quickly make adjustments if needed.
Our next steps include:
Eclipse integration.
Built-in configuration support for key settings.
Expanding the library with external and more LVGL-maintained projects.
We’ve also gained valuable insights during the development process, which will serve as the foundation for our upcoming Editor.
