Using LVGL in a industrial application

**Introducing our new product:

Industrial Embedded Test Platform for Locomotive I/O Validation**

We are proud to introduce our latest embedded test platform, designed for locomotive I/O validation and testing.

Key features:

  • Hardware and software design, implementation, and integration
  • 5-inch LCD with resistive touch
  • UI developed with LVGL
  • 32 digital inputs
  • 32 digital outputs
  • 24 analog outputs (4–20 mA)
  • CAN Bus communication for locomotive I/O card testing
  • Variable supply generation:
    • 16.6–30 V for I/O cards input supply testing (-30% to +25% according to EN 50155)
    • 50.4–90 V for I/O cards input channels testing (-30% to +25% according to EN 50155)
    • Generating different waveforms and frequencies for I/O cards supply test
  • Test results can be saved to a USB stick or sent to a PC

Wow !!! Congrats, @Embedded-Lover

It’s really looks professional! I also think it could be a good application for LVGL Safe. What do you think @Embedded-Lover?

@halyssonJr Thanks a lot.

@kisvegabor Much appreciated.
Interesting point. This project is intended as a maintenance and diagnostic tool rather than a safety-critical system. However, LVGL Safe is certification-ready and compatible with IEC 61508, so it could be a great choice for safety-critical locomotive HMIs.

Fair point, for a diagnostic machine safety is not a concern, however I do foresee LVGL Safe being used in actual IEC 61508 controlled locomotive products.
