I also think this is a bug.
Gradient appearance shouldn’t be dependent on object position. Vertical gradient seems to behave correctly, but horizontal gradient seems correct only when the object’s X position is 0.
I don’t think this is specifically related to Micropython, so I suggest reporting this on LVGL repo.
