STM32F769-DISCO freezes after being turned on for a while

Description

I am currently using the stm32f769-disco so display a GUI. Every 30 seconds data is sent to be displayed on the GUI. However, the board seems to crash after a few times data is sent. The screen just freezes despite having lv_task_handler on.

What MCU/Processor/Board and compiler are you using?

stm32f769-disco

What LVGL version are you using?

V8.0

What do you want to achieve?

stop the crashing

What have you tried so far?

I have tried adjusting the config file but nothing really seems to fix it.

Code to reproduce

Here is my config file.

Edit 1:
I believe LVGL crashes when there is data being sent via UART and when there’s an action in LVGL. For example, if there’s data being sent via uart and there is a touch action, the system freezes. How do I account for this issue? Is it possible to temporarily pause all lvgl actions including touchcreen when data is being processed in the uart?

Edit 2:
Here is my main loop. Is it not preferable to use polling for a blocking UART function with LVGL?

void main()
{
  CPU_CACHE_Enable();
  HAL_Init();
  SystemClock_Config();
  PeriphCommonClock_Config();
  MX_GPIO_Init();
  MX_USART1_Init();
  lv_init();
  tft_init();
  touchpad_init();
  GUI();
  while(1)
  {
     UART_DATA();
     lv_task_handler();
  }
}
