Is there a roadmap for LVGL Pro v2 and beyond?
Having some visibility into the future roadmap would be helpful when making the case for adopting LVGL Pro at my workplace.
Sorry for getting to this list so late. We are having a larger website redesign activity and as part of it we create a roadmap page as well. What I can share today is our focus will be
- Boost developer productivity. We have have really cool plans on this but I can disclose them later
- Better support AI driven workflows
- Add much more ready to use projects to get started easily
- Improve the capabilities of our XML so that you can do more in XML directly
- Add feature to support the collaboration in teams
- Keep improving the business model based on the customer feedback
If you have any features missing, recurring pinpoints, etc, please let me. Iād love to hear them so that we can consider them as well.
For planning an adoption, a roadmap is most useful when each item includes the expected API/ABI stability and how long the current release line will receive fixes. It would also help to call out which parts of the tooling are intended to remain usable in the community edition, so teams can evaluate licensing risk separately from the feature list. A small example project migrated across the major versions would make the roadmap easier to assess in practice.
