LVGL Editing Tools

I am getting started with LVGL on both Renesas and NXP devices. I am trying to determine what tool is most effective for editing my LVGL UI. I explored SquareLine but found that LVGL has disbanded their partnership with them AND it doesn’t support all of the LVGL widgets (meter is missing for example). EEZ Studio does not seem intuitive. What is the most effective tool for a reasonable price? I am not afraid to pay for a tool that will save time and in the long run money. Thanks in advance for your input.

Hallo Guy,

Sorry for my bad English.

Unlike you, I can’t afford tools like Squareline Studio, even for hobbyist use, this tool’s free version is all “revamped”. I’ve been trying the free version and didn’t like it very much. Unlike Squareline, EEZ Studio offers me much more. It’s actually very good now and has several features that make programming easier. It has a very active group for improvements and as soon as a bug is found, it’s fixed. I just missed the Table widget, which hasn’t been implemented yet, but nothing can fix it better than a little programming.

I’ve been creating multiple screens with buttons, statuses, etc. to control a CNC machine that I’m also developing. EEZ Studio is working very well for me. I suggest you take a more in-depth look at it, because I don’t think you’ll regret it. It’s a little difficult at first, but then you understand how things work. It even has a forum and a Discord group.
