Looks like the LV_USE_ANIMATION config option was completely pulled from v8. Additionally, tabview is hardcoded to use animation on tab changes. Is there any way to disable animation for tabview changes in v8? This is super expensive and looks bad when an MCU is taxed.
Not sure how to put a link, but the example " Tabs on the left, styling and no scrolling" in the Tabview documentation shows how to do this
