I’d say NXP chose wisely.
I’ve been working with LVGL for a few weeks now and am extremely impressed so far. I like the fact its lightweight enough to use on a small micro (PIC32 in my case) yet the graphical quality is good enough for a higher power platform - thus making it a most viable cross platform choice.

It would be nice to see LVGL in the STM32CubeIDE for the STM32.
I would really like to see that aswell, but they have buyed TouchGFX and that’s what they are offering, I haven’t take a deep look into how to develop stm32cube plugins.
