External button event not happening

Button event not working. I am using the ESP32 with a 320x240 serial TFT that has a ILI9341 chip. I am using the TFT_eSPI library for a TFT driver.

I am using Platformio with the LV_arduino v3.0.1.

I am trying to use 2 hardware buttons that are linked to two GUI buttons on the screen.
