Current state of LVGL + Zephyr integration?

Missing out on many features, bug fixes, optimizations, etc. I understand that there’s some discussion about whether Zephyr should continue to be maintained upstream or decoupled from Zephyr and offered as an external library. Since the decision continues to be stalled, current Zephyr users who opted for the upstream-supported graphics library are working with unsupported code from a year and a half ago. Either option would be fine, but it would be nice to have an option rather than continuing to work with 8.2.0.

I’m not an active Zephyr user, so I’d like to ask how complicated it is to manually update LVGL to the latest v8.*?
