Can you invert Monochrome configuration

I would like to invert the monochrome configuration so it has white widgets on a black background.
Is there an option to achieve this easily?

I can imagine three options:

  1. Change the colors in the your styles and/or the default styles. It might require some error and trial to see you did it correctly.
  2. Monochrome display controllers usually have an invert config option.
  3. Invert all colors (bits) before sending it to the display controller.
